About the Role
We are hiring a Programme Officer to support the delivery, coordination, and documentation of our programme work. This is a supportive and administrative role that also requires the ability to think clearly, write well, and contribute to outputs that reflect insight and rigour. The Programme Officer works closely with the Programme Manager to ensure our programmes run smoothly and deliver meaningful outcomes.
This role suits someone who brings discipline to execution, fluency in writing, and care for team dynamics. You will be entrusted with keeping activities on track, ensuring communications are sharp, and supporting the team’s collective momentum.
Key Responsibilities
1. Programme Coordination & Delivery
- Support implementation of programme workplans, timelines, and deliverables.
- Coordinate meetings, travel, and logistics for programme activities and partner engagements.
- Track progress across workstreams, document decisions, and follow up on key actions.
2. Writing & Documentation
- Draft reports, meeting notes, activity summaries, internal updates, and partner communications.
- Contribute to the preparation of high-quality briefs, presentations, and written products.
- Ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency in all programme documentation.
3. Administrative & Logistical Support
- Assist with procurement, budgeting, scheduling, and expense tracking.
- Liaise with internal teams (finance, operations, tech) to ensure smooth administrative flow.
- Keep programme records well organised and accessible across platforms.
4. Research & Learning Support
- Assist in gathering, reviewing, and synthesising research materials and background data.
- Help document insights, lessons, and reflections from the field.
- Support the production of learning outputs such as blogs, short case studies, and briefs.
5. Stakeholder Engagement Support
- Represent the team in meetings as needed, with professionalism and thoughtfulness.
- Help prepare for partner meetings, community convenings, and field visits.
- Coordinate communication with stakeholders, including invitations, agendas, and follow-ups.
Who You Are
You bring your full self. You show up with presence, not just professionalism. You move through your day with care—care for your work, care for your team, and care for the mission. You are consistent, dependable, and tuned in to what the work—and the people—require.
You pay attention to the details. You catch things others miss. You read closely, write clearly, and keep things organised. You take quiet pride in doing things well—whether it’s coordinating a workshop, preparing a report, or making sure no ball is dropped. For you, excellence is a habit, not a performance.
You are generous with your time and your spirit. You enjoy being part of a team where people have each other’s backs. You bring warmth, humour, and honesty into your working relationships—and you do it without needing a spotlight.
You are not here to clock in and out. You are here to contribute to something real: a stronger citizen voice, better government, more dignity in public life. That purpose matters to you—and it shapes how you show up.
You’re the kind of person who turns instructions into action, turns ambiguity into clarity, and turns a job into shared momentum. You don’t need to be the loudest in the room. You just need to be reliable, grounded, and fully in.
Skills and Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in programme coordination, project support, or research and writing roles.

- Experience supporting civil society, governance programmes, or community-driven initiatives is an added advantage.
Education
- A Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Development Studies, Project Management, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in project support, writing, or governance-related work are welcome.
